An excellent Installation ceremony for Royal Brunswick with W.Bro Ian Barnett remaining in the Chair for a third year. Following the meeting the Brethren were joined by partners and families for a very festive Festive Board 🎅🎄⚒

An excellent evening last night with Brethren and prospective members.

15th August 2021

W.Bro Ian Barnett and Bro. Andy Taylor made the journey north to visit York Lodge 236 and a tremendous evening was had by all. The Masonic Hall is steeped in history and the Temple is truly breathtaking.

After missing last year due to Covid-19, the Brethren were delighted to come together again at the annual Lodge BBQ.

The Nick Wright Memorial Plate.

Bro. Nick Wright was a member of Royal Brunswick Lodge and a well-known and loved son of the city of Sheffield. His family had been involved in making scissors in the city since at least the early 1800s and he took over the family business, Ernest Wright, in 2012.

Nick tragically passed away in 2018 and has been missed by those who knew him in the Lodge and beyond ever since.

In 2019 it was decided that the Lodge would hold an annual competition in order to meet socially and remember Bro. Nick and thus the Nick Wright Memorial Plate was born.

The winner of the Nick Wright Memorial Plate for 2021 is our Worshipful Master,
W.Bro Ian Barnett

This may look like the album cover for the latest Masonic hip hop group, but in fact it’s even more exciting! The first physical meeting of Royal Brunswick Lodge for 15 months. It was great to see the Brethren together again
